Who misses SODA?!

As I've mentioned before, I'm starting to be really strict with myself (historically, I have an issue with obeying).. and actually put 100% effort into changing my eating habits.

To say I've gotten sick of water would be an under-statement.  This is what I came up with.. an Orange Soda alternative!

 Mmm, crochet coasters

In the language of The Zone diet, you are drinking exactly... NO BLOCKS.  That's right, the same calorie consumption as water.  Club soda, mixed with sugar-free orange drink mix from WalMart (pictured) or Crystal Light.. and lots of ice.  Add some actual juice if you want a vitamin boost.

This tasted remarkably good, worked to satisfy my tastebuds, and.. you can use any variety of sugar-free drink mix.  The possibilities are endless... at least until you run out of flavors.  Enjoy.

Holy Mousse!

I've been trying to stick really closely to The Zone Diet, which is the highest recommended diet for people who are in intense training or getting a lot of strenuous exercise.  Because of how hyper-aware I've been about what I'm eating, I'm starting to develop a chocolate craving.. it's got it's claws in me and I. Am. Helpless.  So, knowing that I'm going to cave here soon and do something horrifying like consume the Snickers bar that is taunting me from the vending machine 4 feet away, I went on the hunt for alternatives.  This morning I found....drumroll... Jell-O Chocolate Mousse Temptations.  These little cups of Yum are no joke.  Now I will post a picture so that you can better understand my enthusiasm.

I know, right?!!

And now I will post a photo of what mine looks like.

It got Got.

Long story short, I'm ecstatic about my new find.  These are fluffy, soft, sweet, chocolatey cups of amazingness.   And I haven't even gotten to the best part.  They are only 60 calories, and sugar free. Add in 2 g of protein, and you've got a very happy girl.  In Zone terms, it is 1 combo item block (protein and carb).

Just thought I'd share.
